|I've recently seen one of my favorite movies (Escaflowne) being bashed by the hordes of Anime obsessed geeks who dwell in the stagnant depths of the Internet like leeches in an old dirty pond next to a cement factory.
Needless to say, they seem to hate Escaflowne because it has inaccuracies to the old Escaflowne series that used to be on FOX. Also they whine because it was too short.
Big fat deal , if you're gonna watch a movie appreciate it for what it is. While I was dissapointed about how short Escaflowne was, it was still was a fantastic piece of animation that shouldn't be nitpicked apart.
They complain about the ending, saying it lacks the finesse of other anime. Since when do all forms of entertainment have to be compared to its predecessors to be considered any good? Besides, the ending was very satisfying and I didn't see any "Lack of finesse"
Most regular film critics. (The kind that don't paint their skin blue and insist their name is "Gotensu") have enjoyed Escaflowne for how artistic it is. . . If you spend every waking hour watching movies with names like "Flower Girl Bunyion Child Goddess Dragon Strength" until your eyes become bugged out and shiney, then you probably shouldn't be reviewing movies. Even ones that you consider yourself an expert of.
Just had to rant.
Man will prey on man until man can only pray for man.
