Guns do save lives. Heck, the average woman usually has a height/weight/fighting experiance disadvantage compared to the avarage man. If a woman lives/works in an environment she feels threatened in I have no problem with her buying a firearm and training with it. A woman + gun = defense capable. Heck, just shoot a mugger/rapist/pervert in the leg, that's usually enough to discourage them.

My statement: will + strength = power. will + weakness = luck. And don't depend on luck. For anything.

Basic rule of self defense - any weapon you possess can be taken away from you, and then, used against you. That is the biggest danger in possessing a weapon during a fight.

I don't think a weapon is a solution - there are better ways to fight crime. But this is a debate that probably shouldn't be explored on this web board....

As I was driving across Nevada the other week, I noticed that every sign had buckshot holes in it - including the sign that said "If you witness any highway shootings, please report them to . . ."

Proof that rednecks, boredom, liquor, and guns do NOT mix.

I'll end that thread with one quick last word...

Guns sure saved a lot of lives in Columbine, eh? *OOOOH*

But on to my baseless statement, everyone who works should be given a ten minute morning break during which they have to read a newspaper. With no crosswords allowed. Imagine how much smarter we'd all be?

Sorry, won't bite Smile

Hope you have a nice Holiday Season, Oz.

A better subject: I hate Christmas because you are practically forced by law to pretend you love people you happily ingore the rest of the year. And even have to buy gifts for them they probably don't want in the first place.

Does it mean anything to anyone over 13 anymore?

Christmas is fun because I get to see my family. And because sometimes, friends I haven' t seen in a long time because they are spread out all over the place come back to my small hometown, and I get to see them all together too.

Christmas is just an excuse for companies to lower prices on "hot" items they have overstocked so people will buy them... and it's an excuse for shitheads nobody likes to think people care about them by people being nice to them.

And Vanilla Coke is fucking awesome, Coke sucks ass though. Out of all the Cokes and Pepsis, I only like Pepsi and Vanilla Coke. Strange, eh? I find Pepsi to be sweeter then Coke, so that's why it's better, and Vanilla Coke just flat out rules.

And another thing, why aren't all hot women rounded up and put into nudist colonies?

Pepsi is naaasty. Diet Coke is better because its not as sweet and sometimes its even bitter, which flat out rules.

Anyone who doesn't like Diet Coke must be juvenile in all of their tastes.

Why aren't all men put through forced labo---I mean reeducation camps?

I predict that a new home entertainment format to replace DVD is one year away. Too many people were stocking up on DVDs this Christmas for me to believe Sony won't fuck with the medium some time soon.
