"See it, it's not for everyone, as it does not have much plot, but"
4 stars

A superb piece of French new wave cinema

This is a great addition to french film.

Basically a love story between a jewel theif and a rich girl, nothing special, just a love story.

The subway in the title is where it is mostly set, in the subways of Paris (a known hangout for parisian criminals)

The thing I really love about this film. Its simplicity, its basic premise, plot, characters. It is a wonderfully entertaining film.

It stars Christophe Lambert as the thief, he is superb. And Isabelle Adjani as the rich girl he steals from. Also popping up is Jean Reno as the silent drummer.

Basically this film is cool, and what independent films should be.. Not about violence, but about emotion.

See it, it's not for everyone, as it does not have much plot, but you have to see it and make your own choice.
