This flick takes you places that sometimes, well you don't want to go. It makes the hair on your arms stand up and take notice and your shoulders shiver. You almost want to hide under your seat, but you can't bear to miss any of the fabulous movie. Bruce Willis, Hayley Osment, and Toni Collette intertwine flawlessly together. With an ending that will knock your socks off, this is best horror/suspense flick I've seen a while, barring Blair Witch of course...but that is another review.Willis portrays a child psyhologist who apparently didn't help someone as much as he thought he did. In a don't blink or you'll miss him cameo, Donnie Wahlberg is an emaciated suicidal ex-patient who breaks into their home and threatens to kill himself, Willis and his wife. This movie uses all the cinematic tricks they have to make you really feel for Cole, and Malcolm (Willis). Whether they know it or not they need each other and in the end Cole ends up helping Malcolm as much as Malcolm helps him. By far all you need to see is the trailer to get a glimpse of what the movie is about. It features Cole whispering, "I see dead people." If you don't like scary movies or gore, this movie is not for you. Osment whom you will recognize as Forrest Jr. from Forrest Gump and The Jeff Foxworthy Show matches Willis acting ability in every way. They feed off each other by constantly testing the limits of how far they can push each other. The end, which by the way I WON'T reveal is a shocker and will have you looking at the movie in an entirely new light. I saw it four days ago and am still discovering new things about it.Definetely a see twice movie!! Oscar worthy - perhaps, it's still early. Excellent all the way around. Worth seeing on the big screen!! Check it out!!
