"blah blah, ship, blah blah, black hole, blah blah die. the end!"
Apparently, no scientists in the 2040's speak latin.Just one of the many plot holes to be found in Event Horizon.
This is the story of a ship with an amazing capability. It can tesseract (as those of you familiar with the novel 'A Wrinkle In Time' know), that's when you take one part of the universe, and fold it, so that it touches another, or VERY FUCKING FAST TRAVEL.
Basically, the ship goes out, disappears for 7 years, then suddenly reappears just out past Neptune. They send in the creator, along with a top-notch team of fuck ups.
It would appear that the Event Horizon opened up a hole in the plot, and left it there.
The effects weren't all that stunning, we found ourselves sarcastically critiquing them the entire time.
"Gee, ya think they used a computer to make that?"
The acting has some fairly weak spots. Large weak spots. The script, while seemingly a good idea, was crud. It was a pretty horrible film, and I really wouldn't suggest it unless you're extremely bored or maybe high. Then it would be all right, I suppose.Save yourself from this movie.
