Gang Related?

So. I went to the video store in the middle of the night wanting something, anything, to watch. I come upon Gang Related and I don't even read the back, I just grab it because I had heard some good things about it and I like Tupac (so sue me). But, the title makes you think it's going to be about some kind of gang thing, it's not.

Anyway, this movie was a lot more than I expected and then some.

Divinci (Belushi) and Rodriguez (Shakur) are two cops that accidently kill a DEA, and they try to cover it up because of the incidents that have surrounded the death. They end up trying to pin it on a drunk homeless man named Joe (Quaid) who has nothing in his life, so a meal ticket in jail would probably be a pretty good idea.

Wrong.

Joe ends up being more than they bargained for and their plot ends up falling apart at the seams, so, not unlike caged animals, Divinci and Rodriguez end up going a little insane.

Full of plot twists and suspense galore. Belushi's acting is a little shabby (when isn't it?), but Shakur has his acting down. I mean, hello, he plays a concious laden cop!

How's THAT for acting?
