I caught this after Family Guy, and was pleasantly surprised. It's a smart, funny show that managed to win me over in about 2 minutes (not often I can say that about any TV show). If they had to replace American Dad with something, I'm glad it was this.

Couldn't disagree more. I've tried several times, but I just can't get past a few minutes of any episode.

Well excuse the fuck outta me! bunch of haters! Very Happy Sorry you guys aren't digging the show, but I found it hilarious - especially the guy's messed up parents and his mulletheaded best friend.

I'm sad to see AD go, but let's face it, it was getting VERY hit or miss before it's demise. Family Guy, however, was also hilarious this week.

I'm still watching this show 3 weeks in and it's still holding my attention. A little formulaic sometimes, but mostly pretty funny. The kid's parents continue to be the most consistently funny part of the show.

Family Guy was funny this week too - but I just can't watch them the same way after Matt and Trey took their stab at the show last week.

What stab? The only new South Park I've seen is their endless replaying of their final stab at Chef (which was quite lovely).

The South Park Family Guy episode will rerun this Wednesday, right before the epic conclusion.

Was pretty good, but the jokes about Family Guy's comic style was nothing new to anyone I know - the random flashbacks do have a tendency to get old.

By the way, McKay, you're still the only person I've met that likes Free Ride. Just sayin'.

Hate to say it, but I can take Free Ride without flinching. I enjoyed it well enough.

Not comedy classic material, but then when I think about it, a lot of the stuff fro the 60's and 70's that I still love today was no better and no worse.

Happy Days vs Free Ride... push.
Mork and Mindy vs Free Ride... push.
Mr Belvedere vs... ohmygod, what am I saying?!

Oh I wouldn't say it's a great show or a classic or anything, and it's very formulaic at times (although I still think "My Name is Earl" is way more formulaic and doubly hindered by too much schmaltz). But it cracks me up - especially the kids parents. His dad is such a prick, I can't help but laugh.

Looks like the Free Ride is over, and American Dad is back! And it was actually pretty funny last night, although the whole "Brokeback" thing has been done to death by now. Still funny, tho.
