(Is it wrong of me to get jealous of the people who get to attend these zany screenings? I'd love to see Troll 2 with a room full of like-minded fanatics.)

I've never been into audience participation-type screenings, but I find that crummy exploitation movies tend to play a lot better in theaters. It's the same principle with comedies: what is only mildly amusing on DVD tends to become uproariously funny on the big screen. So if you ever have the chance to catch a screening of something like Blood Feast, go for it.
