I'd pick a scary movie over any other genre any time any place. But man, I'm so sick of all these bullshit, weak ass, unbelievable, sloppy plots, screaming teenagers smoking weed and having sex, crappy movies! And enough remakes already!
Give me something attitude changing like Life of David Gale.
Or something you have to pay close attention to like Old Boy.
Or all around entertaining like Inglourious Basterds.
Or beautifully done like Amelie.
Something unforgettable and totally awesome!
[Horror preferred, but open for anything]

Burnt Offerings was good! I didn't realize it was a 70's movie, and to top it off, Bette Davis was in it! It took forever to get anywhere, and by the time it did, I had already figured out the plot. The ending was a surprise. But it was enjoying to watch. Tonight, Jennifer 8 _________________ "Your suffering will be legendary, even in Hell" ~ Pinhead |

That evilly-smiling limo driver gave me nigthmares as a kid! The actor who played him did his last acting gig as the bar/whorehouse owner in Unforgiven. And after Jennifer 8, please let me know if you were able to guess who the killer was, and also when you were able to being that theree about 5 solid clues throughout. _________________ "Joe the Plumber -- you can quote me -- is a dumbass." -- Meghan McCain |

Oh gosh...Jennifer 8 was so boring! I actually got to the point where I started watching parts of it through hitting the forward button! I knew it was going to be one of them, but I didn't know which one.
And I swear they used a body double for Uma's bath scene. First you see these big perfect boobies, and if you notice, when she's on the floor holding the towel, her hands are really close to her chest!
Let me know of any other goodies..... _________________ "Your suffering will be legendary, even in Hell" ~ Pinhead |

Uma did indeed use a body double. Sorry you didn't like the film, though. At least I was 1 for 1 in video picks for you. _________________ "Joe the Plumber -- you can quote me -- is a dumbass." -- Meghan McCain |

He recommended Jennifer 8? Ah, the trolling is strong with this one.
To see Jennifer 8 done much, much, much better try Sea of Love. It's beautiful, creepy, and you'll never get the song out of your head.
Do people still pay to rent movies?
My suggestions:
Finding Bliss - comedy/romantic style
Night Train - a Twilight Zone episode on mega-steroids
Tuck Everlasting - a love story between an Immortal and a normal chick.
A good triple feature with the Time Traveller's Wife and the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. |

If you do not like Night Train I will send you a dollar!
Question though - how many movies a month can you get with Netflix and how much is it? |

My son got me into it. I think we upgraded it to maybe $24 and we get unlimited movies, 4 at a time. Netflix also has dozens of movies that you can watch instantly. You can also rate them and write reviews on them. But for much cheaper, you can still rent unlimited. You only get 1 or 2 at a time, though. Which is still ok. The movies come really fast. I love it. _________________ "Your suffering will be legendary, even in Hell" ~ Pinhead |

Didn't like "Night Train". In fact, the only horror flick I've ever liked set on a train is 1981's fine "Terror Train", which is well performed and well directed. _________________ "Joe the Plumber -- you can quote me -- is a dumbass." -- Meghan McCain |

Terror Train 1980 (not 1981) ....ordering now. It only has 2 stars, though. Hmm..we'll see. Should be getting Night Train soon. _________________ "Your suffering will be legendary, even in Hell" ~ Pinhead |

Night Train was a fun ride! Parts were cheesy and un-believable, but for a while there I was highly entertained! Now about that dollar.... I say gimme 50 cents, and we'll call it even!! _________________ "Your suffering will be legendary, even in Hell" ~ Pinhead |

Terror Train is worth it just for Hart Bochner's performance and John Alcott's cinematography. It's no classic but it's a bit better than it needed to be. _________________ But I wish the public could, in the midst of its pleasures, see how blatantly it is being spoon-fed, and ask for slightly better dreams.

I started watching it, and I was surprised to see Jamie Lee Curtis. But it was a bunch of college kids on a train. And a bunch of corny jokes. I watched about 5 minutes, and turned it off. Is it really worth it??? I really want mature acting with a good plot. _________________ "Your suffering will be legendary, even in Hell" ~ Pinhead |

In an effort to keep my 50 cents might I suggested Wes Craven's People Under the Stairs. |
