Tonight, for the first time ever, I turned off Scrubs.

It's just too far goofy. No semblance of reality, and thus it becomes slapstick. And not even good slapstick.

Is it just me?

Never watched Scrubs, but Grey's Anatomy (which I intermittently follow in French, which here is in the middle of Season One), is already getting on my nerves.

Based on what Will is saying, that sounds like those "high concepts" they used in late M*A*S*H episodes (see the love-it-or-hate-it "Dreams" episode, and, more appropriate here, "Follies of the Living - Concerns of the Dead") are being resurrected here once again.

Anyway, medical dramas are a dime a dozen these days and they have yet to demonstrate they can bring anything that has not been done before. Ditto with police and law shows.

However, I don't watch much American TV these days, so I can't say if there's anything worth watching.

Uh, when has Scrubs been anything else?

Scrubs was golden, you shush now.

But after the third season, it started getting very hammy, and now it's just ham on rye, hold the ham.

And Braff is the number one offender. That whole 'driving Kelso's RV across country' thing from a few weeks back was just so bad...

Shut up, I like rye.

Picky biz.

Screw Scrubs. Once you get JD buying a porch with no house because, you know, that'd be all quirky and shit, the show's over. Completely, stupidly, over.

McGinley's still a genius, though.

Not going to argue that. But yeah, I hates me the porch.

"Gay? Like porches?" - give me strength.

I'll admit, I only recently discovered how to not give two shits about Grey's Anatomy, and sure enough, I've been informed that our heroine ends up brain-dead for an hour and a half and spends said time in Heaven, chattin' it up with dead patients and pals.

It would seem the fine pundits of www.jumptheshark.com agree with you.

Thank you! I think I started saying that it was losing steam somewhere around mid to last season and Weinie was saying, "Mom's still got it!" while I narrowed my eyes and looked side to side for a way to get out of it. Then I stopped watching all together this season when my beloved Cox showed up with a blonde perm from hell. No, just, no.

What is with his ever-changing mop? I mean, come on, is it so hard to NOt try to be a fashionplate when the guy you're playing is a narcissistic ass?

Short back and sides that man, stat!

(The music is still good though, I'll give them that.)
