"'We are all born mad...some of us remain so.' - unknown"
Here we go again!Nicholas Cage is the city's top-cop. Tonight, he'll be spectating a boxing match. Right next to a target assassination. Yes, that's right, Hollywood's done it again. That same lovable conspiracy thriller that has absolutley NO character buildup, and a very weak plot. They think that they can hide that 100% no-brainer storyline behind a good action sequence. Well, think again, Hollywood.
Then there's that classic "change-of-heart" ending. Here we have Nicholas Cage, cop slacker who's managing a girlfriend, a wife/family, and makes most of his paycheck by stealing and hustling. And all of a sudden, he decides to blow over a million dollars to simply walk away from some poor schmuck's dream. Well, we all know the truth.
Fun to watch? Sure it is, I love action/thrillers just as much as the next guy.
Good screenplay? Not a chance.Hollywood still has not figured out that FILMS are art, not just entertainment.
