I know what they wanted you to think, and it had great visuals and story, but i still felt like i was watching a kids movie. The music sounded too bold and broadway, but somewhat catchy. The animation was so pounding and fast-paced that at times it made you dizzy. Some of the characters didn't quite avoid that childish Disney thing they said they were staying away from . . . BUT There were certainly some redeeming qualities. The story was not tooooo mushy and gushy and some of the visual sequences generated an actual "aahh" or "wow" from me. My father agreed. We both liked the animation on the Egyptian walls. Annnnnnd it's the story of Moses which needs that effective parting of the waters. I certainly can't complain about that scene in this movie. The artistry will make your jaw drop. All in all? Missed the mark a bit, but still satisfying.
